Accessorize Lovelily

Stumbling across this gorgeous Accessorize fragrance during the dark and chilly winter months has been an absolute godsend for lifting up my spirits and injecting a bit of much needed summer zest into my life right now! Lovelily*, the latest fragrance to drop from Accessorize, is the perfect dressing table companion with its striking bottle and equally stunning scent.

My Experience with Salon Science Retextuluxe

When I was approached with the opportunity to try Salon Science hair products* I couldn't be more excited as hair care is always pretty high up on my priority list. I'm forever re-colouring my pink locks (pastels fade so fast!) and drying my hair out by using the blowdryer and tongs regularly, so I'm always looking for products to give it a bit of life back. If you've got a similar hair type to me - a little dry/damaged, coloured and generally in need of some TLC - or you just want your hair in an even better condition than it is now, read on!

How I Take Care of My Skin

I did a poll on twitter a little while ago to see who'd be interested in a skincare post, and due to the positive response here we are! I'm going to share my daily essentials with you, including both products and rituals, so without further ado let's get started!

1) After wearing a full face of makeup at work everyday it's vital for me that I take it all off before I go to bed - there is literally no worse feeling than waking up with flaky mascara from the day before! The easiest and fastest way for me to do this is to grab a cotton pad, soak it in this Botanics Micellar solution and just wipe away until the pad comes clean. It's soooo much more effective than face wipes, and although I do enjoy a good cleansing balm it's nice to have a less greasy, more straightforward option. AND it will only set you back £2.50... b b b bargainnn

Berlin Weekend Photo Diary and Thoughts

On this exact day in 1989, the Berlin Wall was destroyed and German citizens were regaining their lost freedom. Today in 2016, America has just given power to a man who wants to build another. I feel heavy hearted that so many years later, again on November 9th, the world could take what seems to be such a huge step backwards. After experiencing the hope and confidence of this wonderful city, it breaks my heart to know that people elsewhere in the world will be feeling the opposite right now. Don't get me wrong, I'm so excited to share my incredible weekend trip with you, but I just can't help feeling poignant about the whole thing.

Hey you beautiful readers! I have something super exciting to share with you on here today and I know you're gonna love it. It's a little different from my usual genre as music isn't something I ever really blog about, but when I got the chance to be involved in this lil project I just couldn't say no!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Pro Series Contour Cream Kit

The contour palette everyone's heard of (if you haven't, where the bloody hell have you been these past couple of years?), in fact I would say this is the palette that really launched the domino-like effect of the contour phenomenon amongst the smaller, drugstore brands. Anastasia Beverly Hills really is the flagship brand in my mind when it comes to contour, so it only made sense for me to say ciaooo to my powder contour routine and begin working with this legendary product!

Make Up For Ever lipstick review

I bought this in July in Paris whilst I was scanning Sephora for any goodies that needed adding to my collection, and to be honest it was just the colour that instantly hooked me. Artist rouge mat in M301 is a really vibrant but wearable pink, and after the lovely Sephora ladies gave me a little demo I knew that it had to be mine. It’s actually my first Make Up For Ever lipstick so I’m not familiar with their formula or anything but I have fallen in love preeetty quickly.

Woburn Abbey Wedding

On Friday the 26th of August, my beautiful cousin and her amazing fiancé tied the knot in the most perfect wedding ceremony at Woburn Abbey. The weather could not have been better and the grounds were spectacular - there's nothing quite like driving up to a wedding while groups of gorgeous deer stare back at you! It was honestly like something from a film. I didn't miss a single opportunity to document the special day, and my cousin ever so kindly has let me share my snaps on here with you, so without further ado, let's crack on!

Okay, I think it might finally be time for my third and FINAL (sob) instalment of my Oz diaries! If you can remember from my second Oz diary, I left off after our close up encounter with the first World War shipwreck on Fraser Island, so if it's okay with you, I'll dive straight back in where I left off!

I am so so excited to share this review with you because this bad boy is hands down one of the best beauty products I've owned in a looooong time. Kat Von D's Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks are hailed as a bit of a hero in the beauty blogger scene, and I can 100% confirm this hero status to be true.

Australia Diary #1

Hello you! How are ya?? It's been a while. If you follow me on any other social media platform you'll have probably seen that I went away to Australia for a couple of weeks recently but haven't really gone into any detail about anything I did there. I've shared a few snaps on insta and tweeted here and there but I think such a big trip deserves at least a couple of photo diaries to follow up, so here we go...

Sexy Mother Pucker Nudes

A couple of weeks ago I spotted the Soap and Glory Nudes collection of their Sexy Mother Pucker lipsticks and couldn't resist popping two of their shades in my basket. After a load of umming and ahhing I settled on Keep It Flesh - a very light nude that's quite natural, neither too brown nor too pink, and Nude Edition, which is slightly darker and peachy/pink toned. Both of these are satin finish, but there are mattes and high shine coats also in the range!

My New Summer Essential - Clarins Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster

A trusted fake tan is an absolute summer essential for someone like myself who continually wishes they were blessed with naturally bronzed or olive skin. If I'm honest I like to keep a bit of glow going all year round and there is never a moment when I don't have at least some kind of self tanner stocked up at home, but now the weather is FINALLY allowing us to flash more flesh I'm paying a lot more attention to my tanning routine than usual.

budapest!

Over the Easter weekend I made the most of the time off and decided to book a last minute trip to Budapest! It's somewhere neither me nor my boyf had been before so we thought it would be a cool idea to go and explore it together for our first trip away. We had SUCH an amazing time and I would absolutely recommend Budapest to anyone who wants to get away. The city is beyond beautiful and there is just so much to explore, I wish we had chance to stay out there a bit longer really!

illamasqua sale buys

If there's one brand I get truly excited about when it comes to post-xmas/January sales it's Illamasqua. I'm a loyal buyer of their products and have worshiped their lipsticks for a couple of years now, always having total faith in both their formulas and their shades. This means that I know I won't be getting fobbed off with any naff bargain buys when the sale comes round, so I love to take the opportunity to stock up on their lust-worthy goodies!

Good evening bloggers/readers! This weeks post is yet another outfit, and yes - I am still wearing my beloved hat. I picked up this insanely beaut skirt in the topshop sale a couple of weeks ago and just couldn't wait to take it out for a spin! Sticking with the navy theme I paired it with my loose blue shirt and cosy sleeveless belted coat. OH, and I can't forget my new boots. They are the complete loves of my life at the minute <3

Burgundy flares

Good evening! I hope you've all had a fab week back at work/school and are feeling lovely and refreshed this Sunday night! I don't know about you but going back to work after Christmas felt so strange for me it was almost like starting a new job all over again - forgetting how to run reports and what passwords are needed for what etc - but after just a couple of days I was back into the swing of things. As promised, I've prepared another little outfit post for you this evening just to show you some of the pieces I'm very fond of wearing at the minute...

Happy New Year!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Wow, 2016 already. I feel nothing but huge amounts of positivity towards the year ahead, although I am mildly bummed out about the fact no one can use the "Where do you see yourself in five years time?" joke anymore (ANSWER: "I don't know, I don't have 2020 vision." lol). Anyway, I thought I would kick off the new year with an outfit post, as one of my resolution type things is to post much more regularly on here. Hope you like this little ensemble!
