As 2014 comes to an end I thought I'd round up my five favourite beauty items that I've blogged about this year and feature them all in one post. As always, the products that work well for me might not do anything for you, but if you're on the lookout for some new treats to spend your Christmas money on then you might just want to keep reading!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while! My only excuse is that I have been enjoying all the recent festivities and taking some time to chill with my family and eat lots of food (what else would one be doing at this time of year?) This Christmas was my first 'vegan' Christmas which means no turkey - shock horror - but a heck of a lot of nut roasts, and just in case anyone's interested I decided to take some pics to share with you on here!

Finding the perfect makeup remover is probably something that most girls strive for. Before you go to bed, the last thing you want is to be tugging at your eyelashes trying to remove a load of mascara while it clings on for dear life, and unfortunately facewipes just don't cut it for me anymore (unless I'm coming in from a night out or feeling super lazy). I love experimenting with the other products that are on the market so this time I picked up a 3 in 1 micellar water from Superdrug's own cruelty free and vegan brand, B.
It was on offer when I bought it but the usual price is only £4.99 anyway, so it's pretty cheap. The packaging has a nice clean look to it and the simple, sturdy, no-fuss bottle is just what you want for a product like this. I've had micellar water before that spurted out as soon as you tipped it upside down, resulting in a lot of waste, but nothing like that happens with this and it's really easy to dispense the right amount.
Okay, so how good is it? Well, for £4.99 I would say it works pretty well. A huge leap up from facewipes for sure as the makeup comes off so much more easily and you don't have to do any of that awful pulling at your face to make sure everything comes off. I would usually use about two cotton wool pads of this to remove everything as best as I can and I don't wash it off afterwards because it suggests on the bottle that there is 'no need to rinse', though it is hard to resist the temptation to splash some water just to make sure everything is totally fresh! According to this it is gentle enough to use on the delicate eye area but I've found a few times that when I do use it on my eye makeup it really stings and I have to shut my eyes as tight as I can to avoid any discomfort. Obviously I'm being as careful as I can to not get any of the water in my eyes anyway but when it's created to remove eye makeup it's a bit tricky!
Apart from getting rid of makeup and cleansing the skin, this micellar water is also supposed to restore pH balance, tone, keep the skin supple and refresh it with cucumber juice. It's actually quite nice to use in the morning as well if you're in a rush and can't be bothered with a full cleanse so I like that it's more versatile than just an average makeup remover.
My overall verdict is that this is a really nice makeup remover, especially considering the price, but my only criticism is that it can be uncomfortable to use around the eyes which is a bit of a shame! Have you tried any of the skincare products from Superdrug's B. range? I'd love to hear what your thoughts are on them!
